Clay Pigeon Shooting
Overview:
Experience the Clay Pigeon Shooting at one of the Surrey's top shooting grounds. Only 30 miles from central London, this has been the home of shooting since 1890 and has promoted and encouraged marksmanship for over 100 years. The Centre offers world class facilities for all shooting disciplines and hosts International competitions.
You will be coached throughout the session, by an expert tutor who will advise you in all aspects of the sport. You will normally have approximately one instructor per 5 people, to ensure each participant is given the maximum level of tuition.
You will generally shoot approximately 10 cartridges per stand, as you rotate through a number of different traps. Each type of trap throws the clay in a different direction, speed and angle, to simulate different ‘game', from bounding rabbits, through to diving duck and driven pheasant.
Formats:
Arrive at the shooting ground in time for a light breakfast in one of the historic clubhouses, where you would be given a safety brief. Teams would be given their scorecards and escorted to the ranges by qualified coaches. Each team would shoot each discipline in turn, so that by the end of the day, everybody has shot all disciplines.
For half-day sessions, the day would end over a relaxed lunch, chosen from one of our extensive menus which cater for all tastes and budgets. These can range from finger buffets or barbeques to three or four course lunches, and of course the bar would be open!
Full day sessions would re assemble immediately after lunch, where the bar would be restricted, for the afternoon session which could end over tea and prize giving alongside a full bar facility if desired. At the end of the session you will enter a ‘flush' competition which involves a mass launch of clays, with teams trying to shoot as many out the sky as possible.
Included:
Each person will receive either 25 or 50 cartridges, along with all equipment.
